GOOD NEWS!!
EXTRA, EXTRA...HOT OFF THE PRESS
Specialist sees Britten Paul on 7.7.09. After a thorough exam and secondary review of x-rays, it is determined that the boy only suffered a sprain. Patient will be confined to a sling for approximately three weeks. Physical activities should be limited but a cast is not required. Witnesses claim that the parents and the patient were smiling profusely at the news.
On the entertainment front, Ms Paradise and Mr Justin might be receiving a visit from the Lake Havesu City Stork within the next 24 hours. We will keep the reporters on duty until the news is confirmed. Finally, Happy Anniversary to the Haase's. Congratulations on 2 yrs!

No Swimming For B
We certainly learned a lesson yesterday. Don't hang from the highest monkey bars if your hands are slippery from a recent sunscreen application. Oh yeah, if you do fall, just roll with it instead of trying to catch yourself. Brave Little Britten experienced this first hand yesterday and is now wearing a cast from his arm pit to his hand. Potentially for the rest of summer. He has a fracture on his radius, near the elbow. We haven't seen the orthopedic yet so hopefully it is minor as those things go.
The kids have had an eventful summer so far. Starting with Britten's birthday, Laci's party, lots of family and a few days at the cabin with Grandpa and Grandma where they caught some nice looking trout.
We're off to the local Independance Day parade here in a couple hours. Britten has a couple fieldtrip with the YMCA this summer. Next up is the San Francisco Zoo. We'd like to plan a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to see the Sea Horse Exhibit and we also have a week planned in Arizona to meet Baby Hanke.
Happy recent and upcoming Birthdays to: Austin, Paradise, Amber, Braden, Siven and the new baby. Also, congratulation to Thomas and Sue. They welcomed Baby Michael into the world on May 26.

Happy Easter
Here are a few Easter Pics. We had a lovely Easter with Angel, Joe and Chris' families. Thanks for everyone. It was a beautiful day and the kids were all just perfect. This is one tradition that I can really get used to. Congratulations to Angel for being Named Teacher of the Year (or TOY) for her School District. Gook luck in the next round Angel.
One more extra special April Happy Birthday to Leighton!!!

April Showers
As California attempts to catch up with it's necessary rain requirements, I'm trying to catch up with my critical solar components. Being solar-powered has it's drawbacks in the dead of winter but these past few weekends have lent themselves to letting me try out my new deck in my new bikini. Very cool Joe and Micah. Thanks again. I have taken many a nap out there in utmost peace and quiet. It's my haven. The rain, in between the weekends, has brought out some very healthy flowers and lots of pollen for the allergy sufferers.
We spent last Saturday up in Sacramento with Chris' family for a little pre-Easter get together. Wednesday night we celebrated little Hailey's 4th birthday. Spring is truly our favorite season.
Britten is doing well in school. His reading improves daily but needs to work on his penmenship. He is super inquisitive about nature, vocabulary and God. Some of the questions get tough but so far he seems satisfied. Hailey's a little fire cracker. She's always one step ahead of us and is out growing her true age. We are constantly amazed by the children and cherish all the blessings we continue to reap. Still looking forward to a family pow-wow in June.
Happy April B-days to G'pa Paul, Kyle, Hailey and??? Isn't there another one?

"DECK" the Hallfords
Well, Brother Joe came through - with the silly guy, Micah, and our Chris. They worked hard this weekend and we have a beautiful and huge deck off our bedroom to show for it. As an added bonus we have about 40 feet of trellis for our famous vines and a wonderfully shady and dry patio off our dining room. Thanks to everyone who stopped by this past weekend adding to the excitement. Aunt Michelle, the Taylors, Amber, Mom, Dolan, Kiersten, Jessica, Micah, Joe....WOW!! It was a good time. Next up - the bathroom. See everyone in June!

HAPPY MARCH
Well, the year is 1/6 the way through. Can you believe it?!?! We've had our share of rain in February but still anticipating drought conditions and water rationing this summer. Forecast shows more rain this week so hopefully Mother Nature will take care of herself. Please don't let the weather deter anyone from visiting us out here. My first tulip is now in bloom. The daffidils are still up. I expect the freesia next week and saw the first irises and anemones earlier this week. Spring waits for no one!
Brother Joe has been commissioned to build the new deck/lattice/shade for our big gala this summer. He's spent about 24hrs here and will hopefully be back next weekend to continue.
Kids are great. Hailey enjoys her weekly ballet and tap class. Britten just started Karate. He also enjoys math at school. Hailey's getting good at writing her name and identifying letters. Yup, we think we'll keep the cuties. Happy Birthday's to everyone!!! Aunt Michelle(S), Micah, Chris, Dian, Nathan...um...who did we miss?
Pictures are of kids at zoo last weekend. We had a few dry hours so took advantage of it. I'll let y'all guess who is who. Ciou.

Heart Day
Quick update to the family since you've all used the "new camera" excuse, I'm using it now. We have a new camera but I don't have the cord to download pix to the computer so you'll just have to use your imagination when you think of our Superbowl party with the 3-D glasses on the California clan. You have to use your imagination to view my daffidils in full bloom, you have to close your eyes and imagine the kids bedroom where they created houses and mazes out of every book on their shelf from 5 am - 7 am this morning. You can only imagine our day at Tilden Park visiting the Little Farm. Yes, we did all that and more these past few weeks but for now, you can only imagine...
